How to Read Your Plagiarism Report
This report shows how much of your text matches content found online and explains the different similarity scores used in the analysis.
Detected Similarity in Your Text
This percentage represents how much of your input text closely matches content found across all detected sources combined.
A higher value means a larger portion of your text overlaps with external content. It does not mean the entire article is copied from a single source.
Original Content
This shows the remaining portion of your text that appears unique and does not closely match any detected source.
Analysis Breakdown
Plagiarism Sources
The number of external webpages where similar content was found. A single source can have strong similarity, while multiple sources may contain small, scattered overlaps.
Vocabulary Overlap
Indicates how many important words from your text also appear in a source. High vocabulary overlap can occur even in original writing when common or technical terms are used.
This score alone does not indicate plagiarism and should be viewed together with other metrics.
Sentence Similarity
Measures how closely sentence structures and wording match another source. High values indicate sentences that are very similar or identical.
Phrase Match Score
Detects matching phrases or short text segments. This highlights copied or lightly edited passages.
Common Words
Shows how many meaningful words are shared between texts. Common words alone are not a strong indicator of plagiarism.
Keyword Match
Compares important keywords and topic focus. High scores may indicate paraphrased or SEO-driven similarity.
Why Scores Can Look Different
A source may show high sentence similarity while the overall plagiarism percentage remains lower. This happens when only specific sections of your article closely match a source, while the rest is original.
How to Use This Report
Review sources with high average similarity: Focus your attention on the sources that the report flags as most significant.
Check highlighted text for strong overlaps: Examine the specific passages that are marked as similar to understand the extent of the match.
Rewrite or cite sections with close matches: Properly attribute the source or rephrase the content in your own words to ensure academic integrity.
Ignore minor overlaps caused by common terminology: Don't worry about common phrases or standard technical terms that are flagged.
